Scrawl Place is part visitor’s guide, part travelogue, part literary journal. It’s meant for readers who prefer Bashō to Lonely Planet.

Scrawl Place is edited by Andy Brown, full-time freelance writer and writing coach. After earning an MFA in Creative Writing, Andy started his career as a journalist and editor.  Determined to learn all aspects of the publishing industry, he even sold advertising. After honing his sales skills, Andy combined his experiences to become a successful publisher, setting strategy and managing sales, editorial, marketing and production staff for several organizations. In 2014, Andy realized a lifelong dream to work for himself, doing what he loves most – writing and wandering.
